Welcome!

"Northwestern Taekwondo is a community of students who love to kick. Our members are of all skill and experience levels; from black belts with 10+ years of experience to some who have never heard of taekwondo before joining, we are open to all. We offer practices, hold belt tests, attend competitions, and perform at the annual KASA show. We are more than a team; we are a family."

Taekwondo is a traditional Korean martial art that focuses on self-defense and self-discipline. The Korean word for "taekwondo" (태권도) literally means "the discipline of kicking and punching."

Taekwondo is characterized by its many powerful kicks. The leg is longer and stronger than the arm, allowing more powerful attacks to be performed from a greater distance.
